- WINDOW COMMANDS
-
- NYWord allows you to have 12 horizontal windows on the screen at the
- same time. Each window can have a separate file, or the same file.
-
- Since the 10 "pick" buffers are common to both windows, you can cut
- and paste text between windows. You can copy or pick text into a
- buffer, move to the other window, then use the <PUT> command to trans-
- fer the text from the pick buffer into the window.
-
- <SPLIT WINDOW> (the ALT F2 key) opens up another window. You are
- prompted for the name of the file to be in the bottom window. Type the
- file name, or press <RETURN> if you want the same file in the new win-
- dow.
-
- <GOTO WINDOW> (the PRTSC key) moves the cursor to its previous
- position in the next window.
-
- <CLOSE WINDOW> (CTRL D or ALT F1 key) closes the current window and
- makes file in the next window the current file. You are prompted to
- save the file in the closed window.
-
- <EXPLODE> (the ALT + key) enlarges the current window to be the size
- of the screen. Pressing <SHRINK> (the ALT - key) will restore the
- other windows.
